Giving is about More than What We Earn or Have –
Giving is about Who We are,
What We Value, and
How We will be Remembered by the Future

The Germanic-American Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, with a cultural and educational mission. GAI annual operating support comes from membership dues, charitable contributions, event revenue, course tuition, and special event rentals.

Today, most cultural non-profits find that to meet their costs, they must rely upon grants from foundations and corporations, and outright donations from those interested in supporting their mission and activities. Rarely do memberships, sales of related services and items, or event revenues carry any non-profit’s bottom line.

All contributions to the GAI are fully tax-deductible, and all cash gifts are promptly acknowledged in writing. We accept contributions to support:

Language Services

Kinder Services

Facilities Maintenance

Operating Expense

Special Program Fund

Many employers are willing to match the contribution of their employees – please remember the GAI when you make your annual giving plan.

United Way and other collective campaigns can direct your gift to the GAI.

Some people wish to honor a deceased friend or loved one with a monetary gift in memory of their life – the GAI can help carry that memorial forward.

Bequests to the GAI can be left through your estate planning – please contact us if you wish assistance in making such a gift.

Gifts of stock can be arranged – other in-kind donations are subject to acceptance under terms that permit the GAI to dispose of them according to the organization’s needs.

GAI can accept contributions by debit and credit card, by phone or by mail – online giving options will be available in early 2007.

Please send an email or call 651.222.7027 for more information about your gift of heritage.
